I can hear the sermon now already...

"And should you need to go to the bank, keep in mind that the treasure you store up in heaven is your lasting and permanent reward. At least so often as you find time, come to mass for your withdrawal of grace. It comes without surcharges or fees, and you can never overdraw."

All this spoken gently in Father Tim McCarthy's sweet baritoned Irish accent. Lord bless him as I type this.

PS: This is Melody, I have an account now, just for you. Yay.

Lord help me if I do...

I'm thinking I'll be about as bad with updates as I am with my fanfics...

I'll pray over it and ask if this might be one of those "I sent someone to flat out tell you because you've been ignoring me" calls from God.

Now *that's* a parish hall!

(People criticized Father for relying too heavily on corporate sponsors in the latest capital campaign. But no one complains now -- you can book a room for your rehearsal dinner without having to beg the K of C to change the date for their spaghetti supper.)

And the Bank said to the church on its right, "Today you will open an interest-bearing account with free checking."

I think that is my diocese.
