Peeps be with you.

Please, I'm not trivializing the salvation of the cosmos by focusing on mutilating and manipulating marshmallows. But Easter week isn't exactly an easy "gentle satire" week, is it?

So let's be clear: GOD IS GOOD. Always. Peeps, however, are NOT.

As those dreaded peeps are fair game, they can be skewered on the Ironic Catholic (literally). And I'll stop after this one, I promise.

1. (Above) Behold the dark, mysterious horror: Peephenge.

2. The Conclave of Peeps.

3. Possessed peeps. Here, too.

4. Behind every great leader, there is a peep.

5. Not tired of this yet?:

The real fun of peeps is to stick them in the microwave and make roasted marshmellows out of them

Mac--peeps are popular marshmallow Easter basket treats, shaped like bunnies and chicks. Certain people loathe them, despite their innocent sugar encrusted faces.

Hello Peeps!

Well, it just goes to show, reading Catholic blogs is highly educational. Like Mac McLernon, I hed never seen a "peep" before.

Now at last I understand the deep textual reference hidden in what Harry Enfield's Stavros was always saying.

Ooooh, edible? sugar? Excellent. I think I'd like peeps... I don't care what they look like.

As a student, I stuck my head into an experimental psychology lesson on imprinting. Observing my very eco-friendly, anti-animal-experiment fellow students trying to do things with newly-hatched chicks, I couldn't resist, and cooed "ahhh, chicken McNuggets on legs"

I was sent to Coventry for about two days...
