Runner-up Mottos

(If anyone cared, the actual motto of the blog is "...Because humor is our second greatest strength." Yes, I know that's a fragment. My senior high school teacher would flunk this blog.)

  • Like G.K. Chesterton, without the humor, insight, or talent.
  • He who satirizes, prays not enough.
  • "You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you odd." --attributed to Flannery O'Connor

More to come.

The first one is wildly inaccurate, but the wittiest by far. Chose it.

Well, thanks.

But really, that set-up can work in so many ways:

Like Mother Teresa, without the humility, love, patience, and general sanctity.

Like Angelina Jolie, without the beauty, fame, acting talent, and Brad Pitt.

Like Augustine, without the conversion. Oh, wait a minute, strike that.

How about "No, not in the face.."

or "Inspiring nervous laughter and averted gazes since----."
