Change is good?

Yes, I've been fooling with the template. The biggest change is the blog header. Nothing is where I want it, exactly, but bear with me. If you found yourself here between 8-9pm Saturday night (yes this was my Saturday night), you probably screamed from the ocular strangeness of it all (it got VERY strange at one point). Sorry about that. Carry on....

p.s. some people apparently hate black backgrounds. I kind of like it but...strong feelings out there? Speak now or forever hold your peace!

P.p.s. OK, we have a white background now. I do plan to change the header when I have time. Reactions to "pure as the driven snow" white? I like the black=irony piece, but this is easier to read.

Artistically, the colors are pleasant, but from a practical point of view it's going to be difficult for your visitors to read.

Black backgrounds work best with sites that employ extensive use of graphics (e.g. photography sites).

I've always liked your site design -- not so much my own. My answer (for me) is to change graphics / colors often. I would use a black background occasionally if I could, but I can't since I can't change the color of some of my posts.

Since irony is a bit of dark humor, I'd keep with it were I you -- though I'm definitely partial to head logo graphics.

God Bless,

I prefer my irony any way in which it can be delivered.

White on black is fine.

The only thing I think is a sub-optimal is the dark blue links on the black are a little hard to read, until one points at them.

Aside from that microscopic complaint, I like the new look of the place.

It is a little hard on my eyes at times, but I usually read you on Bloglines, anyway.

Oh, but I do run into the problem of pink text on the white background at Bloglines. It's very strange, and your feed is the only one that does it. I wonder why...

I love the blue and green combo, but have never been fond of the black background. WWJD? Were liturgical colors part of your experiments last night?

Thanks folks. I'm going to try a different color background and see if that messes with people's minds too much.

WWJD?--that's funny!

I kinda liked the black. It was different, sorta... Ironic, you know. White is so ordinary in the web world.

The only issue I had was your light colored text in Google reader. But I would just click over to your site and read it there.

Oh and I was going to say, being from MN, isn't white kind of depressing? In a few short months you will be very tired of everything being white.

I preferred my irony on a black background, but so long as you keep me laughing, you can dish it out any way you like. :-)
