I Always Wanted A Boy Scout Badge!

John at Locusts and Honey is trying to get people to match the blogger with the ... unusual ... boy scout badges. I think cat herding is my style, but they say others know you better than you know yourself. Follow this link if you want to play. And be kind, please. I'm still nursing this cold.

If there were Catholic merit badges, what would they be?

The Cardinal Virtues, of course!

(Actually, I think there are Catholic merit badges. I'm not up on scouting, but there are badges created especially for Catholic school or parish-based troops.)

There is are Catholic Awards (not badges technically), 1 for Cub Scouts & 1 for Boy Scouts (I'm not sure about Explorer Scouts). Also not sure if Girl Scouts have similar programs for the Catholic Scouts.

The cub scouts have a Catholic "parvuli dei" award, a child of God Catholic merit badge. I remember doing most of my dearest brother's work for him. What a good sister I was! I remember the lovely diamond-shaped silver badge. It was really cool.
