How To Be A Catholic "Tips on a Clip" Campaign

Minneapolis, MN: A local IT worker and faithful Catholic has discerned the evangelical tool of the future: Clippy the Catholic Evangelist.

Tim Hellstrom says he has always had affection for Microsoft's products, but thought Clippy the Microsoft Word helper was underused. "I know it drives some people crazy, but I always thought it was clever and kind of humorous. So I decided to wed its reminder function with handy tips for living the Catholic life. And a little humor makes the medicine go down."

The free trial version (see sample above) focuses on encouraging Catholics to participate in the sacrament of reconciliation. "We know most practicing Catholics do not confess, and those who do make it a once-a-year trial. I think Clippy is trying to get Catholics to embrace reconciliation, maybe even by reflecting upon their unjust hatred of a mere paper clip graphic. The Lord works in mysterious ways. It's worth a try, I think, and people will enjoy getting a tip every day," says Hellstrom.

People can arrange the download of 50 Catholic Tips on a Clip for their Word program for $39.99. Hellstrom adds, "It's a great Christmas gift for your local heathen Computer geek."

Wouldn't that be a nice Christmas gift for your fallen-away little brother?

You neglected to give us a link to where we can buy it. I need at least three, and before Christmas, too. Christmas shopping made easy, yay!
Why does the word verificaton imply that I'm psychotic?

Oh, I was so relieved to find the Fake News tag at the bottom of this post!

BTW, a Latin version of "Tips on a Clip" is now available.

(Hope you don't mind my purloining the graphic for my own nefarious purposes, IC, but it was just too good to resist!)

"I think Clippy is trying to get Catholics to embrace reconciliation, "

Hmm. Does the author really mean by this statement "get saved" ?

Reconcilliation occurs at the moment of regeneration. Regeneration occurs by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.

Col 1:21-22 Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior. But now He has reconciled you by Christ's physical body through death to present you holy in His sight, without blemish and free from accusation-

Jesus said you must be born again. Not you must be born again and again and again and again. Repentance is something the believer does in reflection of God's mercy and it is done by the power of the Holy Spirit through the process of sanctification.
Just thought I'd help, please don't be offended.

Prodigal, kindly see my post on Confession. It explains the answers to your questions in detail.

Now, where can I get this program?

Ack. I just remembered I actually was thinking of the post titled "On salvation." It's the most recent one.
