Kids Say The Strangest Things, Part III

6 year old daughter: I want to be a saint when I grow up.

8 year old son: Yeah, me too. I want to be a saint too.

3 year old daughter: I don't want to be a saint!!! I want to be a mom!

(Why do I feel convicted?)

I say yay for your little one that says I wanna be a mom. That means you're a good mom! Ya never know, she might turn out to be a saintly mom. (wink)

The obvious truth is that being a mom is one step higher than being a saint ;-)

Are there saints who were also mothers, besides the Blessed Virgin? Just asking.

That is awesome. We went through a Nun stage a couple of years ago and then they all (I have three girls) decided they wanted to be a Mom....go figure.
