Holy Guacamole!

When I was poking around with posts yesterday, I noticed--
we passed the 1000th Ironic Catholic post!

(This is actually post #1031, so I was a little clueless.)

So...I'm doing a mini-celebration by tweaking the masthead with an old/new motto. Many thanks to Ryan at Sonitus Sanctus for the header!

Thanks for letting me de-stress with you! May you always embrace the joy and more than occasional amusement of being a Christian!

IC

p.s. I especially like the NaPraGoMo for today--a poem/prayer from St Therese that was new to me. So I share it here, if you're willing to click.

But it's not true. You do have all of those things.

I like the retro header. Here's to at least another 1031 posts!

Congratulations. Here's hoping you'll be around for a long while yet.

Congratulations on the posting, kudos for the new header but in my rarely humble opinion, I think you need to change the tag line. It's absolutely inaccurate. You have the insight, talent, style, and humor in abundance.

Thanks y'all, but if I have any talent for this, it's a shadow of Chesterton's.

Great job so far, and best of blessings for the future! ;-)

I like your style better than Chesterton's. He's kind of pompous.

I like Chesterton, and I like you. I prefer the Flannery O'Conner quote. It was more thought provoking, maybe even inspiring. Congrats on your 1031st post. Please keep them coming. I read you everyday. Are you looking for disciples......?;-)

Helen--NO!!!!

I did like the Flannery quote, though. Can I get a reference for it?

Cminor--the Flannery O'Connor quote is attributed to her all over the place, but I couldn't ever place it. Sure sounds like her though.

Maybe I'll put it in the sidebar after NaPraGoMo is over.

Congratulation. However, I think you need a new tag line. That one isn't exactly truth in advertising.
