Caption Contest #81

(Oh, please be nice. This is from my diocese and I know quite a few of the priests here. I'll reveal the context later; it will make sense. OK, here it is: this is a photo from our diocese's Harvest Mass; the priests and bishop are getting transported to concelebrate. My diocese is overwhelmingly agricultural.)

UPDATE! We have winners!
Michael: This years clergy crop was bigger than expected, thanks to the good weather. Dean Westerfield was the talk of the town at the county fair when he brought in this crop which included a bishop.

Kevin: A good priest always goes where he's towed.

Tragically, the Bishop's misgivings about priests of the diocese participating in the Thanksgiving Day parade were not unfounded.

When asked about the bumper crop of priests in this year when the church is dedicated to calling for vocations and focusing on the priesthood, the local Bishop decided to illustrate to his parish what he meant by planting "Seeds of Faith."

Over the summer, he watched as these tender seeds took root and grew 100 fold. When asked about the results, he smiled and said "Miracle Grow works on all kinds of seeds."

Kevin, I thought I was an insufferable punster.

Bringing in the priests,
Bringing in the priests,
We are all rejoicing,
Bringing in the priests.

or,
Come, ye thankful people, come--
Bring the priestly harvest home.

The highlight of the diocesan retreat was after the hoedown, when brother Thomas "Ox" would do his famous combination tractor pull-hayride.
