Friday's QOTD

For instance, there are 108 beads in a Catholic rosary and there are 108 stitches in a baseball. When I heard that, I gave Jesus a chance.

108 beads on a rosary? Not any rosary that I've seen.

Apparently she was referring to a Buddhist rosary:
"japa mala or mala is an eastern rosary with 108 beads. The mala is used both in Hinduism and Buddhism for counting mantras, chants or prayers. Buddhist rosaries were likely adapted from Hinduism."

The character is somewhat confused about many things.

I've always wondered about that, the 108 beads on the Buddhist rosary for the 108 sins of mankind. I still think about what they are, one has got to be spoiling the end of the movie, another is putting sugar in cornbread.
Any other thoughts?
