The 2011 Pun-Off is scheduled for May 21. So is the apocalypse.

PunsApocalypse.  One day.  One drama.

Coincidence?  I don't think so.

(I think Jeff Miller, king of Catholic punning, has to figure into this somehow.)

On a related note, there is now a facebook event called "Post-Rapture Looting".  So far over 150,000 people plan to attend.

On a serious note, I can only wish the Second Coming would occur May 21st (remember: Christ coming is GOOD), but someone--oh right, Jesus--said we would not know the day or the hour, so I'm not sure where this apocalyptic group is getting their information from.

that picture looks like Christ laughing, "Oh Lord, what fools these mortals be!"

I was certainly hoping that the world wouldn't end on May 21st, because the Pun-Off is one of the highlights of the year for me! In fact, my friend Justin and I won First Place in 2010, and came in Second Place on Saturday!

I've been a fan of your blog for a long time, so I just thought you might like to know that a couple of fellow ironic Catholics are world champion punsters.

Please feel free to let me know if you would like any more details about the competition. Also, both of our pun skits are available to watch on youtube if you're a glutton for PUNishment. :)

Keep up the good work on this blog! I love your sense of humor! -Kelly
