Thank you for sharing. It made my day!

Sadly...my children would think this was amazing and torture me with it. My only comfort is that they would know it wasn't for Mass.

Just listening to that makes my throat hurt.

Got that whipped: In Paradisum was the prayer said at the end of a funeral. Here a real metal band will walk you through it:

In Paradisum deducant te Angeli;
in tuo adventu suscipiant te Martyres,
et perducant te in civitatem sanctam Jerusalem
Chorus Angelorum te suscipiat,
et cum Lazaro quondam paupere,
aeternam habeas requiem

Actually, Katie, that's really bad death metal. If you could even call it that. I'll stick with Demon Hunter and Living Sacrifice. :)

Nice video, but I'll stick with Tourniquet, Paramaecium, Narnia, etc. for my Christian metal.

They ARE kidding . . . aren't they?

Ha! I loved it so much I posted it on my blog - along with the Star Wars priest.

Thanks for the laugh.

That's not death metal, he doesn't sound very much like cookie monster at all.

As others have mentioned, this is not parody anymore, but reality. What's more, the best Christian metal is Catholic.

Here is a band I actually like, called "E Nomine"
The lyrics are mostly the Our Father.

As noted earlier, this would be more like metalcore, or maybe just bad, bad metal. However, before entering the Church in my evangelical days, I did something like this with another friend. I am not sure where those recordings went...

But, yeah, not death metal, not close.

Hehe. Nice parody. Under each good parody though, is a grain of truth...

Personally, I prefer power metal to death metal, but whatev.

Saviour Machine is really good symphonic metal. Now if only they'd come out with their next album... *waitwaitwait*
